In year 6, they have been taking inspiration from their class text, ‘Goodnight Mister Tom,’ to help them write a 5 plot-point narrative based on being evacuated from the city to the countryside because of the Blitz. To help prepare them for their writing they used the technique of hot seating to imagine they were children being evacuated during WWII.
