This week in Year 4, we had a fantastic session of partner reading, where the children worked together to practise reading clearly, fluently, and with expression. Partner reading is a wonderful way for the children to support one another, as they take turns reading aloud and listening carefully to their partner.
Our focus during this session was on improving fluency and making sure we read with expression to bring the text to life. The children worked hard to sound out difficult words, use the right pace, and add the appropriate tone and emotion to their reading. It’s been amazing to see their confidence growing with every session.
