This week in maths, Year 3 took on a fun and challenging problem-solving activity to deepen their understanding of place value and number formation. Using counters, they worked to create the largest possible three-digit number, exploring different combinations and discussing strategies with their classmates.
This hands-on task encouraged the children to think critically about how numbers are built, testing their understanding of hundreds, tens, and units. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm as they experimented with different solutions and shared their approaches with one another.
