What is happening in Year 1?

This week, year 1 have been using their working scientifically skills in science by identifying which materials are transparent, translucent and opaque. They discovered that glass is transparent, paper is translucent and foil is opaque. 

They also visited King Henry’s Walk-Garden Classroom to learn about how plants grow. They loved exploring the different plants in the garden and using a magnifying glass to identify different parts of a plant.
