This week, Year 1 were delighted to welcome visitors from Pollock’s Toy Museum as part of their topic on toys. The children had the opportunity to learn all about toys from the past and compare them to the ones they play with today.
Through fascinating stories and hands-on activities, the children discovered how toys have changed over time, exploring the materials, designs, and functions of old and new toys. They were amazed by the craftsmanship of vintage toys and enjoyed discussing their similarities and differences with modern favourites.
It was a wonderful learning experience, sparking curiosity about history and the way play has evolved. A big thank you to Pollock’s Toy Museum for bringing this special session to life for Year 1!
