This week in Reception, the children have been busy transforming into weather reporters and budding artists! They’ve been discussing the changes they’ve noticed in the weather, identifying different weather patterns, and deciding what clothing is most suitable for various conditions, such as rain, sunshine, or cold. The children have also been introduced to their new key text, Tree by Britta Teckentrup, which explores the beauty of nature through the seasons. Inspired by the story, they have painted their own trees and talked about the different parts of a tree, such as the trunk, branches, and leaves.
