This week in Reception, the children have been learning about the seasons and discussing how the weather is changing as winter continues. Together, they observed the effects of sunlight on ice and snow, noticing how they gradually melted as the day warmed up.
Through these conversations and hands-on observations, the children explored important scientific concepts such as temperature, melting, and how the sun affects our environment. They also shared their own observations and experiences, describing how the world around them looks and feels different in winter.
It’s been wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement as they learn more about the seasons and the natural world. Well done, Reception!
