This week in maths, our Year 6 pupils have been diving deep into the world of large numbers as part of their ongoing learning journey. The focus has been on creating, reading, and understanding numbers all the way up to one million!
Through a series of interactive activities, the children have been using place value knowledge to build their own six-digit numbers, exploring how each digit contributes to the overall value. They’ve also enjoyed challenging tasks where they’ve had to order, compare, and round large numbers, applying their mathematical reasoning to real-world contexts.
