Payments
The cost of a school meal is £2.00 a day or £10.00 a week. All payments should be made in advance and parents/carers should continue to be at least two weeks ahead with their payments. Changes between school lunches and packed lunches can be made at the beginning of each half term. The school is operating a cashless system and all parents should use their ‘Arbor’ accounts to make payments online. If you require additional copies of your initial sign up information, please speak with a member of the office team who will be happy to assist you. If you have any queries regarding the payment of dinner money, you can speak to a member of staff in the main office.

Free School Meals
The school encourages all parents to find out whether you are entitled to free school meals. In doing so, you may also discover that you are entitled to other other benefits too. Free School Meal entitlement also means that the school has access to additional government funding, such as pupil premium funding, which allows the school to invest even more in your child’s education.
If you believe you may be entitled to free school meals, enquiries should be made at Hackney Education. Once you have registered for free school meals with Hackney Education, they will send a letter to the school to confirm this.

Universal Free School Meals
Since September 2014, all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been entitled to a hot meal provided by the school at no extra cost to the parent/carer.
Since September 2023, the Government is trialling a programme of free school meal roll out to all school aged pupils. This means that the free school meal offer will now apply to all children in Reception through to Year 6. This will be continuing for 2024 – 2025. Parents and carers are expected to pay for their child’s school meals when they are in Nursery.
Packed lunches
We encourage all pupils to take a hot school meal. However, facilities are available for children to bring in a packed lunch. Please discuss this with a member of the admin team.
Parents should pack a healthy selection of food including fruit and water. As part of the schools’ Healthy Schools Status, we actively encourage parents not to pack sugary drinks, chocolate, sweets and cakes etc. Packed lunches are monitored and parents may be contacted if packed lunches do not meet the Healthy Schools criteria.
We are a nut free School
No items containing nuts should be brought onto the premises due to severe allergies of both staff and children. Thank you for your cooperation.
