Morningside Wins the National Nurturing Schools Award!
We are delighted to share that Morningside has been awarded the National Nurturing Schools Award! This is a wonderful recognition of the hard work of our staff, pupils and families in building a school where every child feels safe, supported and valued.
The assessors spoke with parents, staff and pupils and were full of praise for the strong relationships, positive culture and consistency they saw across the school. They highlighted staff training, our work with parents and carers, the use of the Boxall Profile to support every child, and the active role of the PTA and wider community in making families feel part of Morningside.
We are also delighted to be welcoming a steady stream of new pupils, with many families booking tours for next year. This doesn’t happen by chance – it reflects the reputation we are building together and the hard work going into spreading the word about our wonderful school.
A special thank you goes to Rachel and Ellen, who led on this project and will be sharing our journey with other Hackney schools at a conference next month.
This award is not the end of the journey – it’s a celebration of how far we’ve come and a reminder of our commitment to keeping nurture at the heart of everything we do. Thank you to everyone who makes Morningside such a special place.
Jo and Rachel

We know that a mid morning snack can help children with their concentration in school between breakfast and lunchtime. EYFS and Key Stage 1 children are already provided with fruit and vegetable snacks. Children in Key Stage 2 are welcome to bring a snack into school. However, due to serious airborn allergies within school these must be fruit or vegetable snacks only.
Here are the events happening next week:
