It has been another busy and purposeful week at Morningside. Years 4–6 took part in an assembly led by In The Know, focusing on waste reduction and how small changes can make a real difference. It has been lovely to see that some children have already entered the related poster competition, showing real thought and creativity.
Our Junior Road Safety Officers also took part in a Considerate Cycling and Road Safety trip. They learned directly from a bus driver about how buses operate, what drivers can and cannot see, and how to use buses safely as pedestrians and cyclists. Following this, the children worked alongside the police on Narrow Way, speaking with cyclists and carrying out short questionnaires about cycling safely near pedestrians and understanding cycling laws. They represented the school brilliantly throughout.
We are also incredibly proud of Believe in Year 6, who has recently been signed by Arsenal Football Club. This is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to his hard work and perseverance, both in football and in his learning at school. We could not be prouder of him.
As always, there has been lots of great learning happening across the school, and it has been lovely to see children engaged, thoughtful and enthusiastic in their lessons. Please see below for further updates and upcoming events.
