Welcome back to the start of the Summer Term. It has been lovely to see everyone back after the Easter break, settled quickly and ready for the term ahead.
A reminder that Parents’ Evening takes place next week. Please note that school will close at 2:00pm on Thursday to allow time for appointments, except for children attending Playcentre, which will run as usual.
We are delighted to share some wonderful news from our staff team. Gamze and Sarah-Alice have both welcomed baby boys into their families. We send them our warmest congratulations and best wishes.
We are also pleased to welcome some new faces to Morningside this term. Ayisha has joined Year 6, Sozen Year 4 and Fadime Year 1, where they will be working alongside teachers and teaching assistants. We are very happy to have them as part of our team.
Please remember to check our Instagram page regularly for updates, news and snapshots of learning across the school.
We are looking forward to a busy and exciting term ahead. Please see below for further updates and key dates.

As part of our OPaL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, we are continuing to develop our playground to give children richer, more creative and more adventurous play opportunities.
We have created an Amazon Wishlist with items that would really enhance our play offer. If you would like to support, you can do so by purchasing an item from the list and having it sent directly to school.
There is absolutely no expectation to contribute, but we are very grateful for any support. These small additions make a big difference to children’s play experiences every day.

This week, we want to celebrate RM and 4S who both have 100% attendance. A HUGE congratulations and keep up the excellent work; it has a great impact on learning and progress. You can help your child’s class win the weekly fruit platter by making sure they are at school everyday.
Our school target is 97% attendance this year.
