As we approach the end of this half term, it has been another busy and inspiring week at school!
First of all, a huge well done to our Year 6 pupils who have completed their SATs tests this week. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, focus, and determination throughout. They approached the week with a great attitude and rose to the challenge brilliantly.
This week is also Mental Health Awareness Week, and our whole school assembly focused on ways we can support and improve our mental wellbeing. Our wonderful Wellbeing Ambassadors led the way by acting out different ways we can move our bodies to stay healthy – from scooting to school to walking in the park. We also explored how being kind to others can lift everyone’s mood – whether it’s offering a helping hand in the playground or giving someone a thoughtful compliment. We ended the week with a special class buddy task, where each class wrote encouraging messages to another, spreading positivity throughout the school.
Year 2 and Year 5 took part in engaging fire safety workshops delivered by the London Fire Brigade. The children learnt valuable lessons about how to stay safe and respond in emergencies – a fantastic and memorable experience for all involved.
Finally, a reminder that we break up for the half-term holiday on Friday 23rd May at 3:30pm.
