Morningside NewsletterWhat a fantastic week it’s been at Morningside! Our Year 6 pupils delivered a stunning performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. We had a fantastic turnout at Family Friday OPAL, where it was wonderful to see so many parents playing alongside their children and enjoying the new bikes, all made possible thanks to our PTA’s fundraising efforts. Last week’s summer fete was a great success, with the PTA raising over £1,000 and the school raising over £300 from food sales. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. Our sharing assemblies have been a great success this term, and next week will be the final week.

Would your child like to learn a musical instrument?
Sing Education offers instrumental lessons during the school day for children of all abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced musicians. Lessons are available in small groups or on a one-to-one basis and are taught by specialist music teachers.
Learning an instrument can help children develop confidence, concentration, creativity and perseverance, as well as being great fun!

As part of our OPaL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme, we are continuing to develop our playground to give children richer, more creative and more adventurous play opportunities.
We have created an Amazon Wishlist with items that would really enhance our play offer. If you would like to support, you can do so by purchasing an item from the list and having it sent directly to school.
There is absolutely no expectation to contribute, but we are very grateful for any support. These small additions make a big difference to children’s play experiences every day.
