Children’s Mental Health Week
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week. The theme was ‘your voice matters’. In class, children learnt about what makes them unique and special. Children learnt why it is important to express themselves and look after their mental health and wellbeing. We discussed why we should feel proud of who we are.
Simply sharing something we are proud of can help us celebrate ourselves and each other. It does not have to be a big thing…. It only matters that it is important to you.
Express Yourself Day
It was lovely seeing children dressed up today for Express Yourself Day.
Safer Internet Day
On Tuesday, we celebrated Safer Internet Day with thousands of people across the UK working together to champion youth voice and engage in conversations about how we can all work together to make the internet a great and safe place. The purpose of the day is to inspire change, make a difference, and navigate change online. Listen to our digital leaders share a poem about how to be safe online.

Play at Morningside
Thank you to all the families who donated dressing up outfits this week. The children have really enjoyed using the costumes and being creative with role play.
Week 4 (19th Feb): Outdoor clothing: wellies that are now too small, jackets, waterproof trousers, gloves etc.
Punctuality
We are continuing to work on punctuality. It is really important that your child is at school before the gates close so they are ready for learning. If your child is late this means they have missed key information that will help them with their learning and help them progress.
Getting to school punctually and every day is an important part of the school day. It is your responsibility to ensure that your child attends school each day and is on time.

Coughs, Colds and Sore Throats
It’s fine to send your child to school with a minor cough, common cold or sore throat. But if they have a fever, keep them off school until the fever goes.
Encourage your child to throw away used tissues and to wash their hands regularly.
Moments matter, attendance counts.
Attendance Class of The Week
Each week, we will share the class, who has the highest attendance. This week, we want to celebrate 3M , who all achieved 99%. A huge well done and keep up the excellent work; it has a great impact on learning and progress. At the end of the half term, the class with the highest attendance will receive a special reward.
