On Monday, Peter Pan and his friends looked for treasure on the high seas. They meet Captain Hook, Tinkerbell and more of Peter Pan’s friends. They set sail on the Jolly Roger in search of treasure. The children were kept guessing as to whether or not Peter Pan would ever return to Neverland. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the performance.

The pantomime was brilliant – the sound effects sounded amazing! The actors were marvellous; they acted so well it felt real, and they kept making us laugh.
“It’s behind you!” we all shouted, when Peter Pan was looking for the map.
At the end , Tinkerbell had the ingenious idea to put red berries into Captain Hook’s drink, which made him fall into a deep sleep. I loved the panto and I definitely want to watch it again!
The children all looked great on Thursday in their Christmas jumpers.

From 2 January 2024, eligible working parents can apply for 15 hours of childcare for their two-year-old. Parents have until 31 March 2024 to apply for a code, with mid-January to the end of February being the optimum time to apply in case they need to provide further information to support their application.
To apply for a childcare code each parent needs to be working and earning the equivalent of 16 hours a week at national minimum/living wage and under £100,000 adjusted net income per year. This means that each parent needs to earn from just over £8,600 per year to be eligible for 15 hours a week of childcare during term time.
There is more information on the childcare support available to parents on the Childcare Choices website, where they can explore the early education entitlements and other government help with childcare costs.
If your child is aged 3 and 4 (born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020), they will be eligible to start reception class at primary school in September 2024. All parents need to apply by 15 January 2024, even if your child is already in the nursery class.
To apply please click here
If you would like any help with this process, please speak with a member of the office team.
Children are expected to come to school in their uniform each day. This includes wearing navy jumpers and fleeces. Please make sure all items of school uniform are labelled with your child’s name.
PE kit – white t-shirt, black or navy tracksuit bottoms and school navy jumper/fleece on top.
Please note that we do not authorise holidays in term time under any circumstances. Parents & carers need to ensure that they do not book holidays or flights before term ends or after term has begun. Please check the website for our school term dates.
Parents/carers are asked to make every effort not to arrange appointments during the school day, except in emergencies. Please do not keep your child off school for the entire day unless absolutely necessary. If your child has a medical or dental appointment during school time, please inform the school office. You will be asked to provide a letter or appointment card.
Each week, we will share the class, who has the highest attendance. This week, we want to celebrate 6M, who achieved 97%. A huge well done and keep up the excellent work; it has a great impact on learning and progress. At the end of the half term, the class with the highest attendance will receive a special reward.
