Parents Evening
We are pleased to announce that our first parents evening this year is on Monday 6th November 2023 from 3.40 – 8pm in your child’s classroom. This is a great opportunity for you to meet your child’s class teacher, hear and see what your child has been learning in class and discuss your child’s next steps.
To sign up for a slot you will need to use Arbor. This can be done through your Arbor App. If you don’t have a login for Arbor please speak with the office.
This link has a good video explaining how to do this: https://support.arbor-education.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020147458-Getting-started-Log-into-the-Parent-Portal-and-the-Arbor-App#what-is-the-parent-portal–0-0
Appointments will not go live until after the October half term break. You will be able to book an appointment from Monday 30th at 9:00am.
If you have any questions, please contact our office staff.
World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is coming up on Tuesday 10th October. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of mental health and to drive positive change for everyone’s wellbeing. The theme for this year’s day is ‘mental health is a universal human right’.
National Sleep Helpline
If you are struggling with sleep or getting your child/ren to sleep, there is a free resource that can help parents and children to learn more about their sleep and develop better bedtime routines. Sleep is essential to brain function; by helping children to sleep better, we can help them to succeed in school.

Flu Vaccine
The NHS flu vaccine team will be visiting on Friday 3rd November 2023 and returning on Tuesday 28th November 2023 (for anyone who missed the first date).
The nasal spray will be offered to all students from Reception to Year 6. The nasal flu vaccine is painless and quick. Side effects are uncommon and generally mild.

Harvest Festival Food Donation Appeal 2023
Harvest Festival is being celebrated throughout the month of October, when farmers and growers give thanks for a successful harvest season. This is an opportunity for us to give to those who are less fortunate.
Harvest season makes a real difference to families by collecting food from local schools and delivering it to those who need it most. We are asking for all parents and carers to donate food items to support this cause.
Which items can be donated?
- tinned food or spreads
- long-life milk, juice and drinks
- dried pasta and rice
- cooking sauces
- condiments
- tea and coffee
- cereal
- toiletries
All items can be dropped at the school office. Thank you for your support.

Lost property
We have a lot of lost property in school. Please check the lost property box in the office if you are missing any items of clothing. Please make sure you write your child’s name on each item of school uniform, so if lost we can return it to your child.
Sweets
There are a number of children bringing sweets to school and eating either before school or after school. Sweets are not to be brought into school. Any sweets found at school will be thrown in the bin.
Attendance Class of The Week
Each week, we will share the class, who has the highest attendance. This week, we want to celebrate 2M, who achieved 98%. A huge well done and keep up the excellent work; it has a great impact on learning and progress. At the end of the half term, the class with the highest attendance will receive a special reward.
Uniform
Jumpers and cardigans worn to school must be navy with either the school logo or plain. Please make sure you name each item of clothing.
PE kit, a white t-shirt and navy/black bottoms, must be worn on PE days. Now that it is colder children should wear their school jumper/cardigan on top of their PE kit.
Below are examples from Primark. £7.00 for two jumpers or £4.50 for a cardigan.
