#Year5 have been using atlases to explore the countries of the Caribbean as part of their #history learning about Windrush.

#Year5 have had an excellent day at the @debate_mate finals. The children took part in the debates with enthusiasm and constructed thoughtful arguments in each debate. They have enjoyed networking and learned valuable debating skills.

#Year5 had their second air pollution workshop with @UCLChemistry. The children were excited to hear about the investigation into pollution in Hackney which they helped to design previously. They were happy to hear that the school was one of the least polluted areas. #science

#Year5 started their new #writing unit this week, in which they will be writing a newspaper report about the Windrush Generation. We discussed the experiences of the people at the time and explored an example news report to find out what features we could include in our own.

In #PSHE #Year5 were brainstorming different ways they could show anti-racist behaviour, based on certain scenarios.
