✨ This Week at Morningside ✨
It has been another busy and joyful week at Morningside. A big thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our Work Sharing Family Friday. It was lovely to see so many of you there, enjoying the songs, poems and the children’s hard work across the school.
Year 5 and Year 6 also took part in an informative and useful road safety workshop on Wednesday, helping them to think carefully about how to stay safe when out and about.
Thank you as well to all the parents and staff who contributed to our wonderful recording of The Gruffalo in 10 different languages for National Storytelling Day and World Languages Week. You can listen by clicking on the image below. It is a fantastic example of our community coming together and something we are very proud to share.
We would like to wish Eid Mubarak to all our families who are celebrating. We hope you have a special and joyful time with your loved ones.
Please see below for more news and upcoming events.

Homework: Parent Views
In an earlier newsletter, we told you that the School Council have been focusing on homework this term. They have asked all the children in Key Stage 2 what they think about homework. Now they would like to know your views on it. Fill in their questionnaire to let them know your thoughts. Thank you to everyone who has filled this in already.

ter Bonnet Parade – Friday 27th March
A reminder that our annual Easter Bonnet Parade will take place on Friday 27th March. As always, we invite all children to take part by making a homemade Easter bonnet. Please bring the bonnet into school on the day ready for the parade.
The gates will open as normal on Friday and will close at 9am. There will be no Family Friday. At 9:05am we will open the gates again until 9:10am when they will close again. Please find a place to stand in the playground – school staff will be there to direct you to available standing areas. Classes will then come down in turn and parade past all parents and carers as well as the judging panel. Prizes will be awarded in the classroom after the event but every child will receive a small chocolate egg. Parents and carers may leave at any point. Please exit through the main office.
There will be prizes for some of the most creative designs, and we always love seeing the wonderful ideas the children come up with!
