✨ This Week at Morningside ✨
It has been a busy and exciting week at Morningside as we have celebrated British Science Week. The children have been curious, asking questions, carrying out investigations and discovering all sorts of fascinating things about the world around them. There has been a real buzz about science across the school.
A big thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our Science Family Friday. It was wonderful to see so many families taking part and exploring science activities together with the children.
Our Sustainability Squad also visited Eco Park House, where they took part in a workshop with In the Know, learning more about sustainability and how we can reduce waste.
Meanwhile, Year 1 enjoyed a lovely nature walk around Hackney, spotting signs that the world is beginning to wake up again after winter. They saw trees budding, flowers appearing and the first signs of new life in the park.
Please see below for more news and upcoming events.

🔴Comic Relief – Friday 20th March 🔴
Next Friday we will be supporting Comic Relief. Children are invited to wear something red to school and bring a coin donation if they would like to take part. It’s a fun way for us to come together as a school community and help raise money to support people who really need it. Let’s see a sea of red across the playground! 🔴
Easter Bonnet Parade – Friday 27th March
A reminder that our annual Easter Bonnet Parade will take place on Friday 27th March. As always, we invite all children to take part by making a homemade Easter bonnet. Please bring the bonnet into school on the day ready for the parade.
There will be prizes for some of the most creative designs, and we always love seeing the wonderful ideas the children come up with!
