Welcome back to everyone after the Christmas break. It has been lovely to see the children back in school, settled quickly and ready for the new term.
This half term, our new school value is Love of Learning. We introduced this to the children in assembly on Tuesday through the story The Dot, which helped us talk about curiosity, perseverance and having the confidence to try something new. It was great to see so many children already demonstrating a real love of learning in today’s Stars of the Week assembly.
With the colder weather continuing, please make sure children come to school wrapped up warm, with a coat, hat and suitable footwear. We spend time outdoors every day, so this really makes a difference.
We are looking forward to another busy and exciting term ahead. Please see below for key dates and updates.

OPaL Play Bingo
OPaL Bingo cards have gone out this week. Thank you to families for supporting this by donating items for the playground.
There is no pressure to bring anything in — contributions can be made gradually if and when you are able.
Completed cards will be entered into a prize draw. These items help make playtimes more active, creative and enjoyable for everyone.

Maths Workshops for Reception to Year 2 Families
We are pleased to invite you to take part in Mathematics at Home parent workshops.At the workshops, we will:
- Share with you some of the things your child will be learning in school
- Improve your confidence in helping your child with maths
- Create some games and activities for use at home
- Share home learning activities and resources with you
The workshops take place on the following dates; please only choose one date per year group:
