As we come to the end of term, we would like to wish all our families a happy and restful break, and a very happy Christmas to those who celebrate.
It has been a fantastic final couple of weeks at Morningside. Our EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Nativities were wonderful, with fabulous acting and singing from the children. They performed with such confidence and joy. A huge thank you to the staff who worked so hard to prepare the performances, and to the many families who came to watch. We have never seen so many parents and carers in the hall, and your support really does mean a great deal.
We also enjoyed a lovely Christmas Lunch, with children proudly wearing their party hats and sharing a festive meal together. Thank you to our brilliant kitchen team for making it such a special occasion.
Last weej’s Christmas Bazaar was a great success. Thank you to the PTA and staff for organising and running the stalls, and to all the families who helped or came along to support. It was lovely to see the school so busy and full of festive spirit.
It really is a privilege to be part of such a supportive, inclusive and caring community, and we are very grateful to everyone who helps make Morningside such a special place.
A reminder that school reopens on Tuesday 6th January 2026. We hope the children enjoy a well-earned rest over the holidays. Please remember to encourage them to read regularly during the break — a little reading each day makes a big difference.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.

As we look ahead to the new year, we’re excited to let you know that we will be running OPaL Bingo with the children. The bingo cards will be given to students in the new year, once we’re all back together.
We’re sharing the list of items that can be collected ahead of time simply to help families be mindful over the break, if you’d like to start collecting items casually while you’re out and about. There’s absolutely no pressure to begin now.
OPaL Bingo supports active, creative play and helps children build healthy habits in a fun and inclusive way. The donated items help enrich our lunchtimes and playtimes, making them even more enjoyable for everyone.
