Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Black History Celebration last night! It was a wonderful evening filled with learning, laughter and community spirit. A special thank you to everyone who took part in the quiz – prizes were given out in assembly today. It was fantastic to see so many children, families and staff dressed in clothes that represent who they are and where they come from. Have a look at your Seesaw account and Instagram to see pictures and videos of the week.
A huge thank you also to our amazing PTA for running the tuck shop on Wednesday. These events not only bring us together but also help to raise vital funds for our school. We really need more support from families for future events to continue — even a small amount of help makes a big difference. You don’t need to commit lots of time, just helping at an event, sharing ideas, or offering suggestions helps strengthen our school community. If you’d like to get involved, please email the PTA – morningside.primary.pta@gmail.com – or leave your details at the school office.
We’d also like to wish a very Happy Diwali to everyone in our community who celebrated earlier this week. The whole school enjoyed a delicious Diwali lunch on Monday, and the hall looked beautiful, decorated with colourful diyas made by every class.
We hope everyone has a happy and safe half term break.
School reopens on Tuesday 4th November.
Keep reading below for upcoming dates and events for next half term — there’s lots to look forward to!
Have a lovely half term break.
